Open Thread - Short Week

 You may have noticed there was no Monday post as I was off for Memorial Day, and I'm off tomorrow as well.  I still wanted to share some Science for the week though!


Makoto Morishita has some amazing photos of seahorses.

As you may know, it is the male seahorse who gives birth.  When mating, the female will deposit up to 1,500 eggs in the male's pouch, which he will carry for 9-45 days.



Morishita has a birthing video posted from last year, but I can't upload from Instagram.
