Is My Blue Your Blue? Color is subjective in both personal and cultural terms. In Japanese, Thai, Korean, and Lakota languages, the word for blue is also used to describe what English-speaking people might refer to as green.  In Welsh, the word for blue came from the word for green. Turquoise is considered a cyan color, which is between green and blue on the visible spectrum of light. From the test, the researcher reports that many responses cluster around hue 175, and the nominal boundary between blue and green is 180. Neuroscience and AI Patrick Mineault, PhD

For starters, your Pantone color of the year. And a prediction: American Woman Style "is going to rule." I specifically wanted to showcase Elena Velez, who won CFDA's Emerging Designer award in 2022. "A shrieking display of female hysteria reverberating back against cultural hypocrisy, anatomical subjugation, and the confiscation of volition." Trends of the year include cargo, upgraded denim, biker vibes, and body armor. These can kind of combine into what is being called "Professional Yet Playful." Elena Velez Trends I do have one best dressed that I can agree with from all the lists: Keke Palmer

Since 2000, Pantone has declared a particular "Color of the Year" - the company began in New Jersey in the 1950's as a commercial printing company.  They are best known for their Pantone Matching System, "a proprietary color space," used in graphic design, fashion, printing, and manufacturing. For the second time in 20 years, they've chosen two hues: Ultimate Gray and Illuminating (Yellow). "A marriage of color conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting." Off-White Prada Dior Monochrome Pantone
