  Larry and His Flask came back to town after 8 years! Seriously, one of the best shows. Cool venue too. LAHF

 A Finnish symphonic metal band, currently composed of three classically trained cellists. Their first album, Apocalyptica Plays Metallica,  was released in 1996.  Just a couple years ago they released Volume 2. I bought one of their albums that includes other band covers (like Pantera) as well as a few originals. But this is the song I wanted. I hadn't looked into the newer covers though, so I was super stoked when they opened with this. From the first volume, this was the first Metallica song they played together. You can hear how much fuller their sound has gotten over the years, as they fully embraced neoclassical metal. It was a full Metallica set, and I had a great time. 🤘

  We took a drive through Greenville, still devastated and recovering from the fire.  A few scenes caught my attention, but I didn't want to photograph their loss like that.  So we found a reservoir to turn off at. I heard some scratching in the log here so I took a look. When I proved to be safe, he came out a little more. Sunday night was Sevendust.  They'll forever be one of my favorite live acts. Not my best seats or shots though.

 On this day - Queens of the Stone Age, 2014. On tour for ... Like Clockwork. I also saw them for their Lullabies to Paralyze tour. Josh Homme started another band I like with John Paul Jones and Dave Grohl. I can only wish to see them in concert.

  Now, the zoom shots are not the best, I know this, but you have to see Gwar fighting/killing Putin. Mudvayne. This is how you start a show. 🤘

  Fall along the Truckee River. And some art. "The daring young man on the flying trapeze." We saw a band classified as "horrorpunkabilly" and it was a good time. The Writhers Formally inducted into the Ghoul Gang.  ^_^

 April 26, 2013 - I saw one of the best shows of my life. Jason Newsted, once the bassist for Metallica, on tour for his new album. Heavy Metal Music. That's right, front and center!! In this moment, he was playing the intro to "My Friend of Misery." In the first photo you may notice his long chain necklace.  At the end of the show, he took that off. AND HE PUT IT AROUND MY NECK!!! My heart still races when I think of that.  It was a fangirl moment for sure. And here it is! \m/
