Music Tasting 19
We were given some tickets last minute to see Neko Case, but Hubby's been working graveyard shifts so he was too tired to stay long. We're gonna follow up on some of her music.
When I searched "Best Neko Case song" this is what came in at number one.
Neko's music falls into country, folk, art rock, and indie rock. She's considered a significant figure in the revival of the tenor guitar, and her untrained contralto voice has been referred to as a "flamethrower."
She wrote this song for the dozens of women killed by the Green River Killer. She grew up in the area, and has said when she was 8 years old, she walked to school with a steak knife for fear of the killer attacking her.
Her first two albums were done under Neko Case and Her Boyfriends.
This is from her most recent album.
