My Shots - Vacation Part 1

 Our plan was to camp and fish in the Black Rock Desert, exploring new parts we hadn't been to yet.

We started on Sand Pass Rd.

After taking 34 up a ways, we decided to cross over to Soldier Meadows.

Around here we connected to the Applegate Historical Trail.  The marked campsites were rough, so we just pulled off on the side of the road.

Now, this area has many remnants of volcanic activity, so I wonder if these are lava tubes?

Maybe just wind erosion.

We also passed through the Summit Lake Indian Reservation, "the most remote reservation in Nevada."
