Book Club - June

 


I started May with Damned and it turned out to be a two-parter, so I've recently started Doomed.

In typical Palahniuk fashion, he has a different way of presenting each chapter/entry.  In the first, it would always open, "Are you there, Satan?  It's me, Madison."  

You see, Madison is dead and learning the ropes of Hell.  In part 2, she missed her Halloween curfew and is left to wander Earth for one year.  These chapters are more like blog entries as she documents her time.

The books listing indicates this is a planned trilogy, but so far he hasn't completed it.
