Book Club - January
This book has been on my list for quite a while now and I finally got a copy from the library. I previously read The Angel's Game, which is part of the same Cemetery of Forgotten Books series.
The author started in young adult fiction, and this was his first adult novel, published in 2001. In 2004, it was selected by the New York Public Library as "a book to remember."
In 2015, he wrote a short story titled "Two-Minute Apocalypse" and it was printed on a paper cup by Chipotle.
Here you can zoom in and read it.
Ruiz Zafón passed away from cancer in 2020. He left behind a small, but impactful bibliography. He's been published in 45 countries and his works have been translated into more than 40 different languages, which makes him the most widely published contemporary Spanish writer.
