Animal Life - The Falcons Hatched!

We have four floofs!

Hatching began on September 29, it appears, so they're just about a week old.

At this point, their second down starts to grow on their abdomen and legs.  They can sit up but are a little wobbly, so they stay huddled together.

At 8-10 days, their primary feathers and then tail feathers will come in.

After 13 days, they can be aged based on the length of their tail feathers (rectrices), which grow 2mm/day.
