Book Club - Read Along, Bradbury
I didn't much care for Father Peregrine's concerns about "new sins" among the Martians, but I was touched by his appeal to them. He had to defend them, and convince the others they are worth their efforts.
Was Father Peregrine more inclined to trust them because of his nostalgic thoughts of Fourth of July? He was certainly more emotional about them, "staring up at Beauty," whereas Father Stone was terrified.
He makes a great testimonial about representation.
What did you think?
We'll go ahead and pick another one to read in the comments and then we'll touch base again next week.
Any suggestions from this collection? Something else?
