Book Club - October

Finished up the last story earlier this week.  While the collection had some supernatural sci-fi elements, it was much more about relationships and the passage of time, nostalgia and missing people...

In Memoriam was eight pages long and made me cry.

I liked the title, Where All is Emptiness There is Room to Move, and it was an interesting story.

Also, The Laurel and Hardy Alpha Centauri Farewell Tour, which tells us we will always need classic humor to get by, even if/when we're living among the cosmos, away from Earth.

With that done and a need to return to the library, I haven't started anything new yet.  I've been reading some short stories about Jeeves by PG Wodehouse.

So I thought we might go for another short story ourselves, and we'll definitely come again for something spooky closer to Halloween.

Previously, it was suggested that we try The Fire Balloons from the Bradbury collection we read from before.  We will meet Father Peregrine, which may remind you of those falcon chicks we've been watching.  ;-)

This one starts on page 72.
