Book Club - Black History Month
I finished Brave New World already.
I can't say I liked it, but it held my interest, and it made its point.
So I was looking for something to start for today, a short story that we could share perhaps.
There are 12 stories, and I was able to find a pdf link for the first one, Heads of the Colored People: Four Fancy Sketches, Two Chalk Outlines, and No Apology.
Nafissa Thompson-Spires was nominated for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work.
She won an Audie Award for Short Stories and the PEN/Open Book Award.
The latter is meant to foster racial and ethnic diversity within the literary and publishing communities.
