Many describe the sensation as a delightful tingling in the scalp and neck, triggered by specific sights or sounds. It's considered a gateway to relaxation for stress relief or falling asleep.

I know I like hard sounds, like the tapping and crinkling paper. I always respond to heels on concrete, for example. Visually, I like paint.
That may be some part of growing up with Bob Ross. I was never learning from him, I was just mesmerized. In fact, some do say he was the originator of ASMR video, with his soothing voice and his paint palette.
